Both of them were scratching their hands to figure out just how to save it. And so, they began clearing the corners of the truck out, but still no kitten.

Two weren’t enough – the pair needed to enlist the help of a 3rd colleague to help locate the buried kitten. A shovel and a broom were also used to help navigate the 5-ton heap of trash.

They took in upwards of 30 minutes to rescue the kitten – it was a tremendous team effort but they finally got to the poor soul!

The three men then proceeded to send the kitten to a local animal shelter nearby for a good bath and meal.

The kitten slowly began to regain its strength and health back!

This lucky kitty was instantly adopted by one of the staff working at a shelter and is now happily living with his new human in a loving forever home!

Hawes was furious about the kitten coming back to her garden every day. Instead of talking to her neighbor like a normal human being, she took the poor soul, went to the neighbor’s door, and threw it like a rag. She was fully aware of the cameras, screaming that she hopes owners Kevin Yarham and Sophie Baker see the cruel thing on CCTV.

According to Kevin, Hawes threw the cat at the door not once but twice. She was pretty violent and shouting when she did it. Of course, the couple sued Hawes and she appeared in court admitting to the crime. The court heard that she has entered a guilt plea on an earlier hearing.

Now, it seems that Hawes is fully aware that what she did was wrong. She said that she didn’t want to cause harm to the kitten and that she regrets it. Thankfully, the kitty experienced only soft tissue damage. However, the violent event has made Shadow more anxious around women.

The court has sentenced Hawes to a year-long community order and 30 days of rehab. She also paid costs and a victim surcharge that totals £170.

He was immediately transferred to the Naples Cat Alliance where Megan Sorbara took him in, assuming that he was simply another stray left behind by his family.

However, after a closer inspection, volunteers noticed something odd. The feline’s paws had been painted purple, along with a stripe on top of his forehead, giving him his new name, ‘Mr. Purple Paws.’

As a seasoned animal rescuer, Sorbara knew immediately what this likely meant. The cat was most probably used as ‘bait’ in dog fighting. She explained in a Facebook post:

“Dog fighters use markers to color the white parts of cats and kittens so they can bet on which color will die first […] This is cruelty at its worst”.

This particular cat was incredibly lucky to escape this cruel practice. Judging from his physical condition, which seemed to be generally OK, rescue workers assume that Mr. Purple Paws was somehow able to get away before any fights began.

Sorbara went on to describe how, despite being an experienced animal rescue worker, she found Mr.Purple Paw’s story particularly shocking:

“I consider myself pretty hardened to a lot of stuff, I have dealt with a lot of injured, emaciated, neglected and abused animals but this one really got to me”.

Fortunately, this adorable fur-baby is now getting all the love and care that he needs at the Naples Cat Alliance and will stay there until he is adopted and can move onto his forever home.

He weighed less than two pounds and needed immediate attention so was taken to the vet clinic.

After finding older, healed scars during surgery, it became apparent that this tiny kitty was a chronic victim of abuse. After two days of healing, Smurf began to play with some of the other kittens there, he was beginning to feel better.

He still had more surgery to go through as they needed to repair a large wound that was on his leg, but thankfully, all his other wounds were healing nicely.

After a week, Smurf began to get the life back in his eyes and was eating his food like a champ.

His room mate was a blind kitten named Wanda, the two of them instantly bonded and enjoyed playing together and giving each other comfort to help them through this difficult time.

In fact they spent so much time together that Wanda began to get a purple hue on her belly!

Both kitties were getting stronger by the day and before long, Smurf’s grey, fluffy coat was beginning to show through the purple.

After 50 days you could hardly see the dye, Smurf was blooming into a beautiful grey kitty.

With the help and love from Wanda and his carers, you would hardly know that he had been through such an ordeal.

Fast forward to today and Smurf has now been adopted into a loving home.

We are so pleased that he managed to get over all the horrible things that had been done to him and we wish him a long and happy life.

Luc arrived at the clinic when he was very young suffering from a damaged spine. It was believed he had fallen from a window and as a result, his legs were paralysed. With the help of the vets at the clinic he has made an amazing recovery.

This adorable black kitty was so grateful for all the love and help he received that he has stayed on to devote himself to all the other animals that come there in need.

Whenever he sees an animal that is seriously ill, he pays back the kindness and stays by their side offering love and support. When it’s time for an injection, and let’s face it who likes injections, he stays close by as if to say “there, there, everything’s going to be alright.”

Not only does he care about the well being of all the patients at the clinics, he has also donated blood and in doing so, has saved many lives. He is the perfect nurse, he often cuddles up to patients or stays close to them when they feeling alone and afraid.

His disability hasn’t stopped him from loving life and his forever family. This incredibly brave and caring cat is giving back by helping other animals get better and even saving their lives. He is definitely a king of cats.

But this obsession actually ended up causing a very happy accident for her human, Jessica Schleider.

Mochi has loved putting herself in between Jessica and her work from the very beginning.

“She was enthralled with my laptop from the start,” explains Jessica.

Now that Jessica is an assistant professor of psychology at Stony Brook University, she needs to apply for funding to ensure she can carry out the research needed for her dissertations.

The funding was worth $100,000 and she wanted to make sure everything was perfect and had been putting off submitting it until she was sure it was ready.

She was obviously a little nervous about applying for the grant and wanted to clear her head before reviewing it one last time and sending it over.

So Jessica went for a walk with her dog leaving her kitty alone in the house. When she got back and looked at her computer screen she realized something had happened.

She saw that Mochi had been on the laptop again. “I think she visited multiple websites over the course of this particular nap.”

As she looked closer she saw that somehow Mochi had pressed submit!

“I discovered that she’d pressed ‘submit’ on [the] grant application and I had a minor panic attack.”

The application had gone and there was nothing she could do to retract it.

The results came back a week later and thank goodness – Mochi’s obsession had paid off.

She had actually done the right thing and Jessica got her grant.

Surprisingly, Klaus the cat instantly fell in love with the cute tiny human and started snuggling with him!

Klaus became a big brother and he certainly seems to be purroud of it!

Klaus’ humans commented, “Klaus, an older cat who was once a stray, guards the newest addition to the family – a month-old baby girl named Fern. Look at how gentle he is!”

However, he never thought a star would be born when one day when a gray tabby cat named Manny took his GoPro and took a selfie, and it all happened by chance.

“Manny learned to use the camera by chance when he reached out to touch the camera during a shoot one day,” Yorem said.

And then “Manny The Selfie Cat” AKA “Your Moms Favorite Cat” was born, and he took the world by storm.

Manny was a stray when he and Yorem met, he was looking for a place to live and stumbled upon Yorem and his wife’s property by chance.

He clearly needed a place to live, and the couple welcomed him into their home. Actually, it was Manny who made that decision for them!

“He just showed up one day and hasn’t left,” Yorem told ABC News, he made himself right at home!

Yorem and his wife also housed other dogs and cats that Manny quickly became best friends with, although he was no ordinary cat.

His charisma and charm soon made him the “alpha” of the pack, and he started making regular appearances on Yorem’s Instagram.

After a few photoshoots, both alone and with his siblings, it was clear to Yorem that Manny enjoyed being in the spotlight.

“He is very curious, and whenever I take pics of my dogs, he basically ‘photobombs’ the camera and tries to take it from me,” said Yorem.

He even went as far as to describe Manny as “the most intelligent, inquisitive cat we’ve ever had”.

However, it wasn’t up until an extraordinary thing happened that the couple realized really how intelligent and inquisitive Manny was.

Manny, the star was born.

One day, Yorem was doing the regular photoshoot for his Instagram with Manny his two dogs when something special happened.

“Manny learned to use the camera by chance when he reached out to touch the camera during a shoot one day,” said Yorem.

The results were magical, with many pictures showing Manny “taking a selfie,” on his own and with many others.

Yorem couldn’t help but laugh at the hilarious photos, and so he uploaded one onto Instagram, and soon enough thousands of people were laughing with him.

From that moment on, Manny became an internet sensation and earned his title as “Selfie Cat.”

Manny essentially took over Yorem’s account, and he has 630k followers and counting, all eager to see his next selfie.

Often, he is seen taking selfies with Yorems pair of huge Rottweiler security guards.

Manny’s “security team” will often sit alongside him with a goofy smile, enjoying Manny’s company, as it was mentioned that he has a huge personality.

Manny has been featured in international news as well as making a guest appearance on Ellen!

Yorem is extremely proud of how far Manny has come, and how happy he can make people.

But in an instant, one happy moment turned her tears of sadness and pain into tears of joy.

Tita’s family heard that their beloved cat may have ended up on the grounds of a nearby school, so they went to check it out.

The gate was closed, but they continued trying to find her, the little girl especially determined.

She called out for her beloved Tita, and this is what happened next:

After this heartwarming scene happened, Tita was taken home, where she belongs, much to the relief of the little girl and her family.

But recently, Andrew shared a picture of his father, who was recovering from surgery, sleeping and cuddling with a cat.

The adorable photo of Andrew’s dad holding hands with a cat only had one problem, he wasn’t a cat owner.

“My dad hasn’t been the biggest cat person so I think he was as surprised as anyone when Mum woke him up,” Andrew said.

And as all cat lovers know, hanging out with a cat can make you feel better and as it turned out, this was the case with Andrew’s father.

His parents later learned that the cat’s name is Ziggy. He’s a friendly neighborhood kitty who’s been known to drop by other people’s houses on occasion to say hello.

“Dr. Ziggy stayed around for a bit of a smooch, but then took off to his next appointment,” Andrew added.

It was just the sort of attention and care that Andrew’s father needed and Ziggy instinctively knew this.

Such is the case with a stray momma cat named Dongsuk. The feral feline had been regularly fed by a compassionate woman from the neighborhood where Dongsuk routinely sought shelter.

But in time, the woman noticed one odd thing about Dongsuk…

If she was given food on a plate, she would walk right by no matter how hungry she was. But if the food was in a plastic baggie, then Dongsuk would gratefully take the package and scamper off.

So every time the woman fed the local stray cats, she always made sure to have one special baggie created just for Dongsuk. But after a while, the woman’s curiosity piqued.

So one day, she decided to investigate and followed the cat. The woman discovered that Dongsuk wasn’t taking the baggie for herself, but instead to feed her precious kitten.

It turns out Dongsuk had recently given birth to a litter of five kittens, but due to an unfortunate accident, only one baby remained. This kitten matched momma, both orange tabbies.

The woman watched as Dongsuk opened the sack of food for her baby and left it there for her to fill her hungry belly first. Once the woman learned how sweet and protective this momma cat was being of her sole surviving baby, she knew she had to take action.

What this stranger does for these two wild animals gives them a real shot at a healthy and safe life.

“They told us that no one wanted him because he was ugly. But for us Romeo is not ugly, he’s a lovely little kitten who likes to play like the rest of the cats. And their differences make them special,” A Santuario Compasión Animal spokesperson said.

While he looks different, Romeo is just a crazy, adorable, and lovable as any other cat. Beauty is only skin deep, anyway! What a relief that this kitty could finally be happy.

No one wanted Romeo the ginger kittie, who was born with a deformity that makes him look different.

Because of this look, he’s not much welcomed, let alone being loved and cared for. Romeo was called ‘too ugly’…
