Meet three wobbly sisters, Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup!
These sisters are getting the help they need and lots of love at Kitten Rescue, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned cats and kittens. They were saved from a kill-shelter at around a week old and before long the nursery manager realized that there was something wrong as they weren’t outgrowing their floppiness.
They were soon diagnosed with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), because of this they have trouble controlling their motor functions so even walking is a problem. The volunteers were determined to help them so one of them came up with the idea of making little wheelchairs that will help them gain strength in their limbs and allow them to practice walking.
As soon as they were placed in their wheelchairs the 3 siblings were so excited that they could stand on their own feet that they were already trying to catch the toys that came their way.
Here’s little Buttercup getting the hang of her wheelchair as she moves around on her own.
Kitten Rescue explained: “These girls are courageous and strong, they don’t know any different and are so happy and loving. They will remain with us for as long as it takes to find them special adoptive homes where they will be cherished and cared for.”
These brave and loving sisters are loving their new found freedom. They are eager to learn to stand, play and walk on all fours and their caregivers are so proud of them!
