The program who was created by the health services director Rebecca Hamilton. In addition to caring for the elders, the woman also volunteers to foster felines. She noticed that taking care of cats was bringing her a lot of joy and happiness, and knew she had to share it with the seniors.

The initiative proved to be a success, as the overall condition of both the kittens and the elderly has improved. The elders were asked to take care of two newborn cats, Turtle and Peaches, and both of the kittens have doubled in weight. As for patients of the memory care facility, ”The kittens have given us the opportunity to nurture this human condition that lies in each and every one of our residents,” says Mercer. The joy that the elderly get from bottle feeding, socializing, and cuddling needy newborns is immense – and the kittens feel grateful too.

This is the cat that wouldn’t give up on finding a new home.

“This cat wouldn’t take no for an answer. We took her in, and we had no idea she was pregnant (she is tiny). We’re going to raise the kittens for 8 weeks, get the family spayed/neutered, get their shots up to date, and adopt them all off.” noted re-verse.

This is what happened after a few days…

“So, the babies are coming along well. The mom is still a flurry of claws for any pets that come near her closet, but she has bonded well with her young, and then seem to be developing nicely. The grey one has open eyes now, would like to get photos within a few days.”

We’ve all seen cats begging for food, but this one takes the game to a whole new level. It’s using a tactic we’ve not seen so far, trying to get the affection of its owner before stealing the chicken. He’s just being very affectionate with his dad which was pretty suspicious from the beginning. He’d be a great actor in Hollywood if it wasn’t for one of his paws touching the meat.

Clever attempt, but the owner had none of it. Still, we pass our regards to Joker as one of Hollywood’s budding stars.

Morgan, who just so happens to be a proud pet parent to five puppies, obviously wasn’t planning to have a new cat, however, this tiny kitten managed to find her way into her life.

Just a few months back, Morgan heard some faint meows coming from outside the area of the farm. “We tried calling for her but could not find her in the thick layer of trees out behind our farm,” Morgan explained to Love Meow. “We took one of our big cats out to where she was crying, and he sniffed her right out. She was in a little tree stump.”

They decided it would be best to leave the kitten in the exact spot just to see if the mama cat would come back. They then monitored the whole situation from afar. After a few hours had passed, they just knew they had to take over.

“When it got dark we got nervous about her because we live on a farm where foxes come around a lot,” Morgan went on to say. “So I went out and brought her inside. She couldn’t see a thing and was covered in fleas.”

They decided to name the kitten Polly. Polly then got a much-needed bath  Paxton (aka Pax), the 12-year-old resident dog, came to the kitten when she heard her squeaks.

The gentle giant of a dog very quickly took to the  little kitty and began caring for her. Obvioulsy, the kitten was drawn to the warmth of the huge dog and snuggled right into his fur for some comfort. The kitten immediately stopped crying, curled up next to the dog and fell right to sleep.

The kitty obviously didn’t want to be alone ever again, and from that day forward, Pax never left her side.

Morgan fed Polly by bottle for a period of three weeks, just until she was ready to try eating on her own. Whenever it was time to eat, Pax would just wait patiently, watching his brand new kitten friend gobble down o some grub.

Then, just as soon as the kitten finished eating, the dog jumped right in and began his cleaning duties.

“Before she could bathe herself, Pax would clean all the bottle milk off her,” Morgan said to with Love Meow. “He has taught her so many dog things, including an off barking noise she makes.”

Even now, Polly follows her best canine friend everywhere, like a cute little shadow.

The former stray truly has grown into a rambunctious older kitten. She is full of mischief. Pax always just lets her play and wrestle with his tail and never seems to get tired of all her payful ways!

He thought it would be great to train his cat Monkey to look for plastic balls hidden around the house and then throw them into a special designed machine.

The balls are RFID-tagged, so whenever Monkey finds a ball, he takes it over to the machine and inserts it into a bowl on top and food comes out of the feeder.

Ben trained Monkey by using ‘clicker’ training, this is based on associating a desirable behaviour with a distinctive click and a reward. It took some time and loads of patience but eventually Monkey realized that all that effort was worth it.

Ben explains: “This all started after I read an explanation of why cats go about repeatedly exploring the same areas, it’s partly to establish and survey their territory, but they’re also practicing ‘mobile’ hunting.”

“So what if my cat, while out on patrol, actually found its prey? Surely this would bring him one step closer towards a more fulfilled and self-actualized indoor kitty existence.”

It’s an ingenious idea and Ben said that he built the feeder because he wanted Monkey to have a more fulfilling life  life.

The poor souls were found abandoned in the cemetery, with no one aware of how they ended up together. Most likely, they were abandoned by their mothers and were very lucky to have been found.

Although named after Gothic writers, these kittens are anything but gloomy. They’re pretty cheerful and fun and it won’t be long before each of them finds a new forever home.

Pregnancy is one of the best periods in a woman’s life. Preparing for it is pretty tough, but it’s a blissful moment that touches a family deeply. When talking about family, we mean the pets too. Just take a look at these pets. They just learned that their mom is pregnant, and the first thing they did is cuddling with her like never before.

Cats can sense when people are pregnant. While they cuddled with their mom before, the sentiment now is different. It seems that everyone in the house is excited, and it’s clear that cats make everything much more enjoyable.

Of course, it was all a joke, but it’s a pretty fun video. The 3-minute video stars Arnold as a Specialist Search Cat roaming around with a trainer on a leash while performing spectacular tricks. Arnold successfully responded to command such as sit, stay, and roll, while also taking the streets in his cute vest.

The cat is also seen approaching a suspicious scene, investigating when the trainer tells him so. There were sunglasses nearby so his scent obviously works great – someone was probably there not long ago. It could be a body or something else entirely, showing that cats can be a proper replacement for the K9 unit.

With calls for a feline unit louder, we could see a C9 special research unit pretty soon. We hope that Arnold is their commander since he seems to be doing a pretty good job by himself.

Who knew that cats are such tech buffs? A Chinese woman recently shared her experience online after leaving her iPad unattended for a while. She lives with two rescue cats so you know she’s got her hands full. After a few hours, she needed her iPad again and noticed that the screen was full of cat hair. It’s a normal sight so he just brushed the hairs off and unlocked her device.

And then a surprise. The Photos app opened up and there was a bunch of selfies taken by one of her cats. The cat probably opened the camera app by mistake, and then saw herself on the screen. She tapped and unknowingly took pictures of a good grooming section. There were a few dozen pics, so she obviously didn’t think about space.

Of course, the owner shared the pics online and the story went viral instantly. It’s another proof that cats are smarter than we think. We’re eager to see what happens when they learn how to surf the web.

Florencia and her brother decided to take the cats back home to feed them and nurse them back to health. Sadly, however, only one of the kittens managed to pull through.

The sibling pair decided to name the sole survivor Tito.

In the end, Florencia decided to adopt Tito as he seemed to be just one very affectionate, adorable, and cuddly little fur-baby.

About two months later, Florencia brought Tito to be checked out by a vet for a routine checkup. The veterinarian, however, took one look at Tito and knew something was completely off.

At the time, he didn’t know quite what Tito was but he did know that he was no “normal” feline.

The vet gave Florencia the number of a local wildlife reserve located in Yerba Buena, Argentina …

Hopper was neutered and vetted and later put up for adoption. The shelter had a difficult time finding the right home for hopper, and months passed without an adopter. However, Hopper wouldn’t let that bring him down.

The Cutest Act

Seeing how no one wanted the one-eared kitten, the staff didn’t hold out hope. However, Hopper was ready to work on the case. The poor kitten started waving at each visitor that came to see him. This was seen as peculiar at first, but it soon became clear that it was Hopper’s way of trying to find a new home.

The malformation appeared to be from a previous injury and doesn’t affect Hopper’s quality of life. It doesn’t even bother him – he acts as a regular cat for his age. He’s the sweetest boy at the shelter and his little act booked his ticket for a new home.

Hopper didn’t waste time to make friends with the volunteers and everyone who came to see him. The waving was enough for one couple from Alaska who couldn’t resist it. After checking out dozens of kittens, they were moved by Hopper’s gesture and immediately adopted him.

His act was more than enough for the couple. As soon as they entered the room, be got up on his hind legs and started waving his paws. They knew that Hopper would be their new pet. The couple didn’t care about the one ear at all – they found it a unique characteristic.

Hopper has now started a new chapter in life, proving that there is a home for cats with malformations.
