This Stray Cat Was So Grumpy, Until He Became ‘Grandpa’ To Kittens

Animals that have lived on the street have gone through things that are hard to imagine. Abuse, extreme violence, hunger and issues that eventually end their lives. To survive, they must take a defensive and very aggressive attitude, just as Mason, the protagonist of this sweet story.

He is a ten-year-old stray cat. Aggressive, moody and grumpy, he didn’t let himself be touched and hated contact. However, that is a thing of the past. He met a couple of kittens and became their adoptive father. He discovered love and lived happily ever after with his new family.

Mason is a 10-year-old male cat. No one knows if he was born on the streets or abandoned.

Without a doubt we can say that his life has been very painful. His body tells stories of abuse and a rough life.

“He was one of our special ones because he had massive growth on the underside of his right leg. Its tail had broken off several times. He had many infections. He needed extensive dental surgery. He was a senior cat that had not had veterinary care basically all his life.” Said Shelly Roche, founder of Tiny Kittens.

Of course, because of his age and attitude he would be more of a grandfather than a father, but his love is probably equal to that of a parent.

“He’s been wild all his life, so he’s never had positive interactions with humans. He sees us as predators, essentially,” Roche said.

Shelly was looking after him at home, when a small group of kittens arrived to brighten up their lives. As soon as Mason met the babies, he simply fell in love with them.

He decided to become a loving grandfather. Now he takes care of them every step of the way.

Now this grumpy grandpa has become a mentor to the little ones who live with him. His life has really changed with the arrival of the babies.

That will be until the cats find a permanent home, as he will probably stay there with his new human mother
