CHIAYI, TAIWAN — Monks who were meditating in a local Buddhist temple in Chiayi, Taiwan, were very surprised to hear the sound of faint mews coming from inside the walls. The SPCA for professional assistance since the kitten was so young.
The SPCA promised they would look after the kitten but only until it is old enough to eat solid food, that they would return the kitten to the monks at the temple, where the kitten will reside. A welcome home party is already being planned for the kitten. Some have jokingly asked if the kitten will be required to shave its head to join the monastery.
