Yes, it’s true. Japan decided to take the time, and vote for a cat with the ugliest sleeping face. When awake this kitty is absolutely adorable! Piercing blue eyes that belong on some gourmet kitty food ad, for sure! But, when he/she sleeps, all that beauty goes in the can!
This is Setsu-chan, owned by Japanese illustrator Mino.
The little guy sure is cute when he’s awake. But when he dozes off, he sure is fugly.
During his waking hours, he is a stunner with pure white fur and hypnotizing baby blues.
But when he falls asleep, things go from cute to adorably awkward. The feline’s sleeping face looks like a zombie’s face.
The silly sleeper first caught Internet’s attention when his owner started posting pictures of the cat on Twitter.
Setsu-chan was even featured on Japanese television and appeared in a book with the title is The Most Awful Sleeping Face in Japan: The Unparallelled Beautiful Cat Setsu-chan.
