Whеn A Sheltеr Wоrkеr Notiсes A Kittеn With A Distinсtive Fасe, She Knоws She Shоuld Adoрt Her

Onyx, a sweet cat with a distinctive face, was discovered with her family and taken up by the Butler County Humane Society. There, the kittens would receive all of the necessary care to help them progress. The rescue center’s volunteers were certain that the kittens would be adopted swiftly, but they had a sense that things would be different for their mother.

The black kitten was born with a cleft palate, but the shelter workers took her to the veterinarian, who concluded that she didn’t need surgery. When eating, a piece of food may become trapped and cause you to sneeze until you recover; otherwise, your cleft palate has no effect on your life; it only makes you appear different.

People appeared to be fleeing the urge to take Onyx home due to her appearance owing to her illness, but Cindy Houk sensed something unique in the feline. When Onyx arrived, the lady had been working at the shelter for a few weeks, and he knew right away that he wanted to adopt her.

A shelter worker notices a kitten with a distinctive face and decides to adopt her.

According to Cindy, who spoke to The Dodo,

“The first time I saw her, I fell in love with her right away. I have two children with unique needs, and anybody with special needs has a particular place in my heart. Her adorable face had such a lovely quality about it.

Cindy was certain that Onyx belonged in her family. New shelter staff, however, must wait 90 days before they may adopt. While everything was provided for them, the lady visited Onyx every day, growing more in love with the kitty with each visit, and wishing she could take her home with her.

People didn’t appear interested in adopting the kitten as the days passed, and no one could see how unique she was, but Cindy saw it as a sign that she was the one who would take her home.

The lady explains:

“I showed cats to a lot of individuals who wanted to adopt them, and not one of them was interested. It was terrible, but I was also relieved to know that my time will come and I would be able to take her home.

The woman’s emotions became stronger as the 90-day deadline approached, and she decided to take her children to meet the kitty. Fortunately, they fell in love with her just as much as their mother did.

Cindy recalls:

“When my Down syndrome daughter met Onyx, she came home and informed her father that Onyx deserved to be a part of our family since she, too, had special needs. I only wanted her because I knew she deserved a wonderful family that would accept her for who she is.

The time had finally arrived, and the wait was over. Cindy and her family were eager to welcome Onyx into their fold. The sweet kitty now has a home and a family that adores her for who she is.

The kitten was shy while at the shelter, but as soon as she got to her new home, her personality developed, and she is now the most lively and entertaining cat in the house.

“She is a constant talker. She is really fun. When she sees us in the morning, she is very happy. It is a wonderful feeling. He has to play with five other cats, all of whom were rescued, as well as a “Fun dog. Onyx will have problems for the rest of his life. Nevertheless she is just ideal for my family!”
