Starving Cat Pushes Through Towards Jaw Dropping Transformation

Meet Raggedy Ann, the cat. Ann for short. She was a victim of a bad hoarding situation. She was found inside a mobile home, along with 40 other neglected cats and 2 dogs. She was suffering from seizures, and nothing more than skin and bones. The fact that she was a senior aged cat, certainly wasn’t helping either.

Ann was taken to the Saving One Life rescue in Chandler, Arizona. When she was found, she was 14 years old, and weighed just 3 pounds and 15 ounces. When she arrived at the rescue center, they weren’t sure if she was going to make it.

Raggedy Ann is also missing an ear. She had a matted coat when found, so it was shaved off. She was given a temporary home with foster mom Brianne. As soon as Brianne met Ann, all she wanted to do was make her feel comfortable, no matter how much time she had left. Little did Brianne know, Ann was going to give her a big surprise.

“She is the definition of a fighter,” Brianne told iHeartCats. “She never gave up, so neither did we. We knew taking her in it was a long shot, but we had to show her love… even if just for a short period.”

Thanks to all the consistent care and TLC from Brianne, Ann’s weak body began to transform.

Ann, gained weight! Now she’s 10 pounds! Her beautiful calico coat also grew in. Although it seemed like this poor baby wouldn’t survive, she did that and so much more.

Brianne was Ann’s golden ticket to a second chance at life. Now, thanks to her new owner, Megan, she’s learning how to live in a loving, comfortable home, and her personality shows more and more each day!

“In the home she was rescued from, she had never had toys or elevated spots to climb and explore,” Brianne explained to us. “Her and the 40 other plus cats were left in an empty house with nothing to do. So she has learned to be a cat in foster care.”

Although Brianne is not Ann’s owner anymore, she still keeps tabs on how her former foster is doing. She says, “Raggedy Ann is doing great now. She is making new friends and spreading her wings,” she said. “She is meeting her friends and even children now. Every day she learns more and more that she can trust people.”

“Ann’s favorite thing to do is to watch the world outside from the comfort of her window,” Brianne explained. “If she isn’t watching the birds, she is playing with her stuffed mouse or fish. She will carry it around the whole house and talk to it and you.”

“A sign that she trusts you is when she brings you her stuffed mouse or fish. She started doing this with her new foster mom Megan very quickly. Megan woke up to three stuffed mice in bed with her!”

This calico kitty has come a very long way! No question about that!

This is a perfect example of how you can turn the impossible into possible and then some! Share with friends!
