A Twitter user named Lavader gave a tear-jerking glimpse of the pet cat sitting in a gloomy manner over its deceased owner’s grave.
The cat was spotted sitting on its deceased owner’s grave two months after the funeral.
Most of the heartwarming stories about a person’s bond with their pets feature dogs as they are one of the most loyal companions one can have. However, some felines can give the canines a run for their treats when it comes to loyalty. Case in point, the pet cat of Sheikh Muamer Zukorli of Serbia.
The cat made headlines after being spotted every day around Zukorli’s grave after he passed away on November 6, 2021. Now, a post shared by a Twitter user shows the cat sitting on top of Zukorli’s snow-covered grave.

In a post shared on November 9 last year, the Twitter user named Lavader gave a tear-jerking glimpse of the pet cat sitting gloomily over its deceased owner’s grave. “After Mufti Muamer Zukorli passed away last week, his cat has not left his grave since his funeral, and is always seen standing by the grave of the Mufti. Even in death, his cat wants to be close to him no matter what,” explained the caption.
Needless to say, the cat’s presence near the grave two months after the funeral left netizens emotional. While some expressed how loyal the feline is, others wrote how the cat should get adopted by someone soon. Many were reminded of the tragic story of Hachiko the dog from Japan who waited for his owner to return till his last breath.
Sheikh Muamer Zukorli, the former Mufti of Serbia, passed away on November 6, 2021 due to a heart attack. He was a well-known personality in the Muslim community of Serbia as well as other Balkan countries.
